“Well?” I asked after she’d eaten several bites of the lasagna.

“It’s really good,” she said. “How are you not three hundred pounds?”

“I don’t eat like this all the time,” I said. “I only go through this much trouble for special occasions—or special people.”

“I can’t wait to see what else you can do in that kitchen,” she said.

“I’ll cook like this for you any time,” I replied. “As long as you’re dessert.”

She laughed and her cheeks reddened. Then we both turned our attention to the food.

She dug into her lasagna like she really liked it. I loved that she was unashamed to eat. We drank our wine and had a very nice dinner. I didn’t want it to end.

Things were just getting better and better. The more time I spent with her, the more I was convinced we were falling in love.

“I’m so full,” she groaned in a way that made my cock hard.

“Me too. Why don’t you make yourself comfortable in the living room? I’ll get us refills.”

“Are you trying to get me drunk?” she said.

“Is it working?” I shot back.

“If you hadn’t fed me so much, I would already be drunk,” she replied.

“I better open another bottle,” I said.

I put the leftovers in the fridge and refilled our glasses. When I sat down on the couch, she had an album in her lap.

“What’s that?” I asked.

“It’s a photo album,” she replied. “You’ve never seen it?”

I sat down beside her. “No, I don’t think so. I basically just moved in. I haven’t had time to snoop around yet.”

“There are labels on the pictures,” she said. “It looks like a family tree of sorts.”

She flipped a few pages.

“Woah,” I exclaimed. “That’s my mom and dad before they were married.”

“Your mother is beautiful,” she said. “And your dad is pretty handsome.”

I nudged her arm and grinned. “Okay, settle down.”

She laughed and turned the page. There were more pictures of my parents when they were younger.

“That’s their wedding day.”

She nodded. “It’s very glamorous.”

“That’s my mom,” I said. “She loves a big party. She’s the social butterfly and my dad is the guy that stands back and watches.”

“Your dad looks like a very commanding figure.”

“He is.” I nodded. “When I was younger, I had a very healthy fear of him. Not afraid that he was going to beat my ass, but I knew he would make me sorry if I crossed him. He had rules that were set in stone. He was firm but loving in his own way.”

She turned another page. “Your brothers?” she asked.

I nodded. “Oldest four. My mom has a lot of these pictures around the house. I wonder who put this album together.”

“It’s cool,” she said. “I love real pictures. I should do something like this for my family. It won’t be nearly as full, but it’s a good way to remember everyone.”

She turned another page.

“Woah, I think I was in third grade here.”

“Your poor mother,” she said. “There’s almost enough of you to make a full baseball team.”

“Funnily enough, we did that,” I said.
